REHEARSING IN LEATHER

full-armani-look

I love that leather is such a huge trend this year and can’t get enough of it.  I wanted to be edgy yet chic for the rehearsal dinner Saturday night in Dallas so I pulled out my tan faux leather a-line dress and Givenchy heels.  It was a polished look that got a lot of notice and was perfect for the not-too-hot, not-too-cold temps. My husband got me these bad boy Givenchy heels in the spring and I break them out any chance I get.  Not only are they super fashion-forward, but they are wedges so they are much more comfortable than most of my heels.

I loved pairing this statement necklace and clutch with this dress because it needed some color. This necklace felt very funky and added a perfect amount of spunk to my look.  The maroon also was a complimentary color for my clutch and my lip color.

I decided to break down my nail and jewelry game – these are my constant go-to pieces.  I love trying the latest Essie polish colors to really give my look an edge and this new metallic color from their fall line is something I am going to rock non-stop.  It’s called ‘For the Twill of It’ and goes with everything.

My engagement ring and wedding band are both vintage and from my favorite L.A. jewelry boutique called Platt Jewelry in West Hollywood.  The big statement ring is a DIY that I made at a recent party for DIY blogger, P.S. I Made This and then last, but not least, my black and gold ring is from my best friend and blogger Damsel in Dior’s collection with Gorjana Griffin – get it here.  The knot bracelet is from the same collection.

I never leave home without my Hermes bracelet and my Vita Fede bracelet.
