I love my heels, but like most women I welcome the idea of a cute pair of flats to save our backs and feet every now and again!  I just learned about this cool new company called The People’s Movement.  They make the tie-up flats above and the best part is they are eco-friendly!  What does that mean and why do you care?!  Read on!

These shoes symbolize the fight against the 600,000,000,000,000 toxic SINGLE USE PLASTICS consumed globally every 365 days.  With lots of great styles for men and women at affordable prices, the brand uses natural, organic and up-cyled materials from plastic bags cleaned from Bali & California to make on-trend shoes that stand up for the oceans and our environment.  Another huge benefit is a portion of MOVMT’s sales goes to their non-profit partners, 5 GYRES who are dedicated to stopping single use plastics through action, education and awareness. In their first 18 months of business, The People’s Movement has cleaned up over 175,000 plastic bags and their products have inspired 100 of the top taste-maker retailers to join the cause and start a MOVMT.

Now that is a Movmt I would like to be a part of – and not to mention these suckers are so comfortable!

Most days in L.A are spent wearing casual looks like this and I that’s exactly why I hunted down this amazing skater skirt!  Dress it up or down and take it from day to night – I have been living in it and best of all it doesn’t wrinkle.  I also cannot live without my Kain tees and tanks!  They are so soft and look amazing on.  We are so lucky to have such great weather year round and I feel privileged to be wearing this in October – it’s been in the 80’s here!  Beyond perfect!
