If you caught my Instagram Stories last week you know I started doing Emsculpt from BTL Aesthetics to help me tone up my tummy! Ever since having Smith, my stomach has never been the same. I gained almost 40 pounds during my pregnancy and fortunately and unfortunately, it was mostly in my tummy. My stomach skin is still looser than I would like and there is more fat on my lower abs that won’t seem to budge. I have been trying to really tone up my tummy for the last two years doing pilates several times a week, I walk a lot with Smith and watch what I eat, but I really need some extra help toning my abs and getting rid of the mom pooch, so that’s why I am so excited to partner with BTL to try the Emsculpt. I would really love to see more definition in my abs and to be able to wear a bikini this summer. After I had Smith I thought I would never be in a bikini again, but with Emsculpt it looks like that could be a big possibility!

Emsculpt is the first and only non-invasive, FDA-cleared body shaping procedure that addresses both muscle and fat! It works well in conjunction with a healthy lifestyle and you can do it on your stomach, butt or thighs. I am just doing my stomach this time around, but my doctor said they have been seeing amazing results on the booty too!

I have to say I was a little scared going in for my first treatment because I didn’t know what to expect and I don’t have a high threshold for pain, but I was pleasantly surprised at how easy the whole process is. You literally just get to lay down for 30 minutes and the machine just contracts your abdominial muscles and they say it is equivalent to doing approximately 20,000 sit ups – or technically speaking, induces 20,000 supermaxial muscle contractions per session!! So cool! You can listen to music, read a book, listen to your favorite podcast or just rest. It doesn’t hurt, it just feels like an intense ab workout. And you only have to go 4 times start seeing results—results continue to be seen 1-3 months post-treatment as well. Plus, it’s clinically proven and safe with no downtime. I cannot wait to have more defined and toned abs for summer! We are trying to plan a big summer vacay for August and this is perfect timeframe to get my body in bikini shape!
