I have never been one to take New Year’s resolutions very seriously, but in the past few years it has been more about goal setting and taking a look at the things in life I want to achieve. I usually have some sort of fitness goals, career goals and always personal goals of the kind of person I want to be, which usually entails something about being more patient. While I am not against resolutions, this year I am feeling more like goal-setting and really mapping out things I want to achieve and what the steps are to achieve them. I recently attended this really powerful intention setting night with the amazing Heidi Stevens where we did something I had never heard of called creating an “Ideal Setting”. It basically entails choosing one portion of your life you want to set intentions on for the year or quarter or whatever and writing it all down. I did mine on my career and you can draw a heart and write a bunch of positive intentions down about what you are currently doing or want to be doing. So for me it was growing my blog following and creating amazing content, working on more tv segments, getting a hosting agent, landing a tv show to host, growing my business financially, working with people and brands I love, etc. I also had things in there like I am fierce, focused, loving, creative and energized. I have it hanging in my office now and love reading it every couple of days to reenergize myself and remind myself what I want. You can also do this about love or finances. You can be really specific and map out little things you want to do an achieve and steps to get there. I had never really taken the time to do something like this and I have to say I really loved it, especially doing it in a space with so many other inspiring women who also have huge goals for the year. I highly recommend making a girls night out of it with cheese and wine and spending time intention setting for what you want your year to look like.

Thanks so much for stopping by today and I’ll be back Monday with a new fashion post! Show this look below:
