I am obsessed with home decor. I literally can search for hours every night trying to find the right pillows and the right plant pot, and even for a throw blanket! It’s one of my favorite things to do and to do on a budget. Keep reading to find out about a major sale happening this weekend!
My husband is all for me updating our house when it’s necessary, but he always asks me what my budget is before I start shopping. I try to do things very inexpensively, which takes a lot more time because it means digging through the cheaper sites vs just buying the perfect piece for thousands of dollars, but when a room comes together in the end the way you want it to, it’s worth it! I love our living room. It’s so bright and cozy and fun, but most importantly practical and can stand the test of time. I was all about having white walls when we renovated our house three years ago and I still love it that way because it means I get to play with color through art and furniture and most importantly, pillows!
One of our biggest updates is our new La Dolce Vita print from photographer Gray Malin. I have been a huge Gray Malin fan for 10 years and we bought the Prada Marfa piece as a couple almost 10 years ago and we still love it so much. When Gray came out with all his prints from Italy I knew we had to get another piece. Doug and I both LOVE Italy so much, I really want to live there one day, but until then, a piece of it in our home is good enough. And we love having art in our home that represents us. Fun fact that most of you might not know, but Doug and I were lucky enough to sail the Amalfi Coast in Italy on a yacht 8 years ago and it was the best trip of our lives. My friend Jacey and her husband Grant invited us on that trip and I am still so grateful. It was the best week of my life and such a magical experience. We got to explore Capri, Positano, Amalfi, Sorrento and more. So having a photo of Italy in our living room from Gray is amazing. It brings back so many great memories, but more than that, it brings in bright colors and a lot of life.
