I was so excited to be invited to the Amazon Handmade event over the weekend celebrating Mother’s Day! I had not heard of Amazon Handmade before, but it’s so cool for Amazon to be supporting local artisans and small businesses around the world.
What mama doesn’t want a one-of-a-kind, handmade item for Mother’s Day?! I loved getting to meet some of the artisans who are selling their beautiful unique products on Amazon Handmade at the event on Sunday in Hollywood. It was such a cute set-up where all the guests got to create our own goodies with the help of the artisans. Smith and I made the cutest felt ball garland with Peaberry Studio that is now hanging in his room, succulent soaps that smell amazing with Sunbasil Soap, flower arrangements with The Flower Chef and checked out all the products you can have personally engraved with whatever you want with Frederick’s Engraving. All those vendors have great products selling on Amazon Handmade now and they make such great Mother’s Day gifts in addition to the jewelry, home decor and accessories that you can also find there.
It’s great to be able to shop on a site we all know and love, while buying from and supporting small businesses and local artisans at the same time. Amazon actually reviews each artisan’s application to sell to make sure you are getting unique products that are made by hand, not mass-produced, which is really great. And unlike some other sites, you can get 1000’s of items on Amazon Handmade with Free 2-Day Free Shipping through Amazon Prime – yes please! Whether you are shopping for Mother’s Day or just want to support small businesses and get one-of-a-kind items, there are so many options to choose from.
