Standing out is something that has always been top of mind for me.  Don’t ask me why, but I was very aware of wanting to be unique and an individual respected for my style, kindness and brains from a young age.  I never considered being in the shadows or wanting to blend in.  Showing off my personality through fashion, hair and makeup was usually how I was able to express myself the best, hence that is why I do what I do for a living today!  I am always looking into new trends and recently tried the new 1-DAY ACUVUE® DEFINE™ Brand Contact Lenses in NATURAL SPARKLE™.  These aren’t just any lenses, but they actually enhance the color of your own eyes, and therefore comes in three effects, each one created to help enhance all eye colors.  I was hesitant they might be like the old school fake colored lenses, but I knew immediately upon putting them in these were different and just accentuated my eye color – they didn’t change it.  They added just a bit of brightness and made the rim of my eyes a little deeper.  Can you guys notice the difference in these photos?  I really love the subtle change!

This green top really let’s my eyes do the talking too!  I wore this look to the Simply Stylist Fashion & Beauty Conference because I thought it’s super chic, but professional and comfortable too.  I moderated a panel of celebrity stylists – hair, makeup and fashion – and had the best time.  The entire day was about being your best self, taking risks, following your dreams and along the way helping each other out.  It was so positive and just reinforced why I love blogging so much and working in this industry.  It’s easy to feel disillusioned, but staying the course is what’s really going to make me stand out in the long run!
