VESTED INTEREST

Guys – it’s my first time wearing something maternity on the blog!  Can you guess which piece?

I am all about staying true to my style during pregnancy so I was totally bummed when I could no longer fit into most of my cut-off shorts anymore, but then I went maternity shopping at A Pea in the Pod and discovered there are super cute maternity shorts!  After learning about the process, it turns out the shorts from designers like AG, Joes, 7 For All Mankind are regular shorts just with the tops cut off and a stretchy waistband built in for the belly!  The couple of maternity items I don’t mind investing in this year are definitely shorts and jeans.  Like I mentioned yesterday, tops and dresses are easy to pull off by wearing the flowy ones or even just purchasing your tops in a size up.

I have been waiting to show off this super chic affordable vest again so when I found these shorts I knew the perfect way to dress them up!  Stripes are always a fashion-forward layering piece and then I wanted brown sandals to finish off the look.  It’s the perfect balance of casual and fun!  Thanks for stopping by and shop my look below:
