I am not the most flexible or adaptive person in life, but I am working on it.
Over the holidays I realized how set in my ways I am. I love going “home” for the week, but it’s also hard to get on someone else’s schedule and be in their house. I am also seeing it now with the move into our temporary apartment. It’s not big enough for us by any means, so I have to remind myself to stay calm and try to problem solve instead of create useless negative energy. I really believe what you put into things you get out, so having a positive outlook and attitude no matter what life throws you so important. I am still a work in progress! Can you guys relate?
Anyway, I love this camel coat because it makes everything looks sophisticated yet effortless. The new clutch and booties really dress up such a simple look. The billowing top adds a little special something too. This ensemble is great to wear to the office on Friday and then out for drinks after. Happy Friday and I hope you guys have some fun or relaxing weekend plans!
Asos Petite Camel Coat // COS Blouse (similar HERE) // Joe’s Jeans Slim Slouched // Nine West Darenne Cutout Leather Booties // Express Jeweled Clutch (ON SALE!) // Jennifer Fisher Block Cuff // Fallon Jewelry Infinity Pave Ring
Couldn’t agree more. I LOVE to travel, but it’s also hard to get out of my normal routine and have to settle into someone else’s. Definitely still a work in progress here too, but there’s only one way to go from here, and that’s up!
Love this look, love your style, & love your blog! I was wondering – do you do anything to protect your shoes before you wear them?
Jessica (from Boston)
Hey Jessica! Thank you so much for the sweet comment! I actually don’t do much to protect my shoes since I live in LA (we don’t have a lot of weather.) I do however have shoe polish to make them look good for a long time.
Thank you so much for the response! I find that the rubber protector at the bottom of my stilettos wears out so quickly! But you’re right – it’s probably due to the terrible weather here in Boston. Thanks again!
Jessica
If you find a good shoe guy they should be able to put another type of protector at the bottom of the heels. I had this done to my Louboutins that we getting worn on the bottom. x
Those shoes are amazing!! Love the embellished clutch, too!
