Since we stayed in town for the Thanksgiving holiday, I wanted to do something fun with Smith and my husband while we had a few free days off from work and school! I checked out Go City to see what the best attractions were in Los Angeles. It’s a super cool site where you can buy tickets to attractions in over 20 cities around the world for up to 60% off gate prices. You have the option to choose from an Explorer Pass where you have access to a certain amount of attractions in a destination. Once the pass is scanned at the first attraction, you have 30 days to use the remaining attraction access. There is also an All-Inclusive pass option that allows you to visit as many attractions as you want with 1, 2, 3, 5, or 7 days. And besides saving money, you don’t have to keep up with tickets or book specific times or dates for attractions – you can go at your convenience and all while printing passes or pulling up the mobile pass from the Go City smartphone app!
We ended up going with an All-Inclusive 3-Day Pass to be able to visit as many attractions as we wanted in three days and for a great price. I was able to click on mobile passes and have the Go City passes right on my phone which is what we used for entrance to all of the attractions we wanted to visit. The first thing we did is went to Universal Studios! We didn’t even have to wait in line for tickets, we just went straight to the entrance and they scanned our Go City pass right from my phone! It was so seamless and awesome. We had never been to Universal before, even though it is almost literally in our own backyard, and had the best time! We spent the entire afternoon riding rides, having lunch and snacks and playing games! It was all decorated for Christmas and it was so festive!
Day two we headed to Santa Monica Beach! While we only live 30 minutes from the beach, we had never actually been on the Santa Monica Pier or to Pacific Park on the pier with all of the amusement rides and found it on Go City! We were so shocked at how amazing it was when we got there and I can’t believe we didn’t even know all those rides were right at our finger tips before now! They seriously had the best selection of rides for kids Smith’s age (p.s. he turns 4 next week!) and he loved it! Our Go City passes got us unlimited rides at the park all day!
After playing for a while, we went to rent bikes at Perry’s at the beach. We rented two bikes for Doug and just by scanning our Go City passes and then were able to get a trailer attached for Smith to ride with us! It was so much fun and the best views ever! Doug and I used to go all of the time, but had never gone with Smith and can’t wait to go back again to do it when it warms up in LA.
