THE BIG 3-0

Tomorrow is the big day!  I have thought about this day for a long time.  Here is what I know after 30 years:

Life is a gift. Life is crazy. Life is short. Love and family are everything. Hard work gets you everywhere. Kindness is key. Some friendships unfortunately come and go. People change. Waking up and going to bed grateful is so important. Things could be a lot worse. Living in the now is so much better than living in the future. Hard times build character. Happiness is what you make it. Jealousy is a waste. Being flexible makes life easier. Giving is better than receiving. Chips and queso are the best. AND FINALLY… a quote I have pondered since childhood (Thanks Mom): “Don’t take life so seriously, you’ll never get out of it alive.”

With all that said, I feel like my life is just beginning!  I still have so much more to learn and do and see.  I am so grateful for being healthy and provided for and happy and beyond excited for what the future holds.  I know everyday is not filled with gum drops and lollipops, but it is filled with opportunity – and I’ll take it!  I am going to celebrate my big birthday this weekend with my wonderful husband and sweet sister.  Next weekend we’ll go big and celebrate with my LA family and friends.  I hope you all have a great weekend!  Shop my birthday look here:
