These days I cannot get enough of the floral prints on the market.  The bright colors and prints, big and small, are perfect for Easter and all spring long!  Whether you wear floral separates or want to be daring by pairing up two floral prints like I show above, these are the perfect pieces for you this season.  My trick to pairing florals is by mixing complementary colors or prints – meaning the same sort of floral print (similar flowers) or colors that go together like the black/white sweater with the bright shorts.  Happy shopping and if you are celebrating Easter, I hope you have a beautiful Sunday!

Left look:  Gap Navy Floral Pullover // Minkpink Flower Box Pleat Short // Asos Cross Body Bag with Buckle // Layers of Love Bead Stretch Bracelet // Steven by Steve Madden Citty

Right look:  Gap 1969 Floral Denim Shirt // J.Crew Pencil Skirt, Antique Floral // BaubleBar Mosaic Daisy Collar // Tory Burch Marion Quilted Small Backback // Rebecca Minkoff Raz Sandals

I love mixing and matching pieces in my closet in an unexpected way.  I wanted to switch up my daytime look when I was heading to some meetings earlier this week and thought my new mint colored plaid top would be a great place to start!

Born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky I have bluegrass in my blood and love me some Derby season!  Most of you have heard about or maybe traveled to the Kentucky Derby, but for Louisvillians it is much more than just a Saturday in May.  The energy in the city starting a month before the famous race is contagious and as is the fun to be had all month long leading up to the day at the Downs with the weekly events and people in town!  Don’t get me wrong though, the Derby is the ultimate day.  Everyone is ready for a fun day outdoors, rain or shine, men and women alike dressed to the nines.  Whether you need a little fashion inspiration for your day at the track or for a like-minded outing, here are my top picks for dresses and hats.  Think colorful and fun, yet elegant and chic dresses with a hat as your best accessory to complement your look.  *If you are looking for a custom hat, check out my friends The Hat Girls!

Even though some people go all out for Coachella with wild fashion, I tend to stick to classic and comfortable separates that breathe.  I did add a little scarf as a kimono and that was the perfect way to Coachella-ize my look.

Wondering what the hottest trend for spring and summer is?!  Watch to see!

Here’s another fun girl chat for you guys!  Meet one of my good girlfriends, Andrea Trujillo, who is the owner of A.Sweet Boutique in Beverly Hills and an inspirational fashionista always dressed to the nines!  I have never once seen her without asking her what she is wearing and it is always from her gorgeous store (and even if you are not in Bev Hills click on her site to shop online!)  The young entrepreneur opened the doors to her fashion-forward and sweets-filled boutique almost five years ago and has an amazing eye for trend-forecasting and knowing what will be hot from season to season.  Let me know you think in the comments below and who you want me to chat with next! Happy watching!
