There are so many designers, shows and looks from New York Fashion Week it’s hard to keep track of it all!  This season I scoured pictures from the shows I attended and those I didn’t for my favorite and most inspired looks.  Let me know which is your favorite by leaving me a comment!  Have a great weekend!

I came, I saw a lot of amazing clothes and style, got too many blisters to count and then said see you later NYC!  I wore this downtown chic look to the L.A.M.B show and out to dinner with some blogger babes while I was at fashion week.  Did I mention I saw Gwen Stefani and she looked amazing?!  Love her – she was even dancing with her models on stage of the presentation.  Now to my look: I love the black paired with the contrasting blue and red and of course my new fringe belt.  There is a lot going on with this look, but it works because the black tones it all down.  Shop the pieces below:

EDITRIX PICKS: RUNWAY TRENDS

There were some major trends coming from the runway last week.  Pastels from Rebecca Minkoff, BCBG, Tadashi Shoji, Monique Lhuillier and more, metallics from Zimmermann, capes and billowing shapes across the board were just a few of my favorites for spring, but how can you incorporate them into your fall wardrobe?  Here are some great pieces that you can wear now and well into spring!  Shop by clicking on the items above or the corresponding links below:

Rebecca Taylor Quilted Miniskirt // Rachel Pally Phillipa Dress // Jenni Kayne Pencil Skirt //

Vince Colorblocked Striped Ragland Sweater // Marie Turnor Lunch Clutch // Sister Jane Odyssey Top //

NEW YORK RUFFLES

A little ruffle goes a long way, especially when it’s chambray!

It was the last day of New York Fashion Week and I saved some very chic pieces for last.  It’s not often that I will rock a crop top, but when I have a high-waisted skirt I am all about it.  I especially loved this chic one because it is not only ruffled, but also chambray.  This look defines simple elegance with a little unexpected edge from the sandals.  I tend to dress similar to the designer’s show I am attending and this morning it was Tory Burch so this look was fitting.  Shop my look below:

Cameo Asymmetric Skirt // Viva Aviva Crop Top // JustFab Tasia Sandals // La Mer Collections Leather Pouch (similar HERE) // Gorjana Cross Over Lariat Necklace // Gorjana Nebesa Cuff Ring // Jennifer Fisher Block Cuff // Giles and Brother Skinny Spike Pave Bracelet // Giles and Brother Hook Cuff

PLAID TO NEW HEIGHTS

My favorite statement-making skirt!

Every once and a while I find a piece of clothing I die for and this plaid full midi skirt really did it for me!  We mostly think of plaid as casual wear and I for one love a cozy plaid top, but this is taking plaid to a whole new elegant level.  I wore this beauty to the ever adorable Rebecca Minkoff show and American Express invited me to the Peter Som show, which was very cool.  In order to not compete with the brilliance of the skirt, I paired it with a basic black crop top and ankle strap sandals.  It was a total hit based on the snaps I got outside of the shows.  Shop my look below:

Nicholas Plaid Skirt // Rachel Pally Crop Top // JustFab Tasia Heels // DVF Studded Envelope Clutch // John Varvatos Sunglasses // Jennifer Fisher Block Cuff // Giles and Brother Hook Cuff // Giles and Brother Skinny Spike Pave Bracelet // Gorjana Cross Over Lariat Necklace

BOLD STRIPES

Sometimes you want to make a statement and what better print to do it with than big, bold stripes!

I love a good stripe and it’s all over the runways this fall.  I was happy to rock this sophisticated number with the very bold stripes and the structured shape.  I also love the combo of the print with my favorite floral heels and the lariat necklace really takes it all to another level of fashion-forwardness!  I wore this to the Mara Hoffmann and Herve Leger show and then to a very packed soiree of bloggers on the rooftop of the Empire Hotel, where I have been staying all week (it is so convenient because it is right next to Lincoln Center where most of the shows are.)  Shop my look below:

Camilla and Marc Dress // Project Shoe Heels (design your own on there or find similar HERE) // Chanel Leather Bag (similar HERE) // Gorjana Lariat Necklace // Jennifer Fisher Block Cuff // Giles and Brother Hook Cuff // Giles and Brother Spike Pave Bracelet // Fallon Jewelry Infinity Pave Ring

I was honored to moderate or host the blogger panel for AOL/StyleList last week (watch it HERE) and wanted to look chic without wearing another skirt or dress since I was saving those dressy looks for the shows.  This was also my night to celebrate the new videos with the Old Navy team that we shot for their fall campaign.  Ripped jeans and a sexy yet classic strapless navy peplum top was perfectly fitting for the occasion.  Shop the look:

EDITRIX PICKS: FALL DENIM

It’s that time of year where we all need to invest in a few key pairs of denim.  This fall I love that there are many trends to really switch it up from just your average skinny jeans.  The new take on the “boyfriend” jean is the “girlfriend” and there are also new updates to the baggy boyfriend so that now the cuffs are more tailored.  One trend coming back from the 90′s is patchwork denim and believe it or not flare jeans are also making another comeback, though I am not ready for that just yet!  And of course my favorite are coated jeans.  Shop all of these great picks above by clicking the photos or find the corresponding links below:

RTA Holster Boyfriend in Blue Devil // Topshop Moto Girlfriend Jeans // 7 For All Mankind Pencil Skirt // J Brand ‘Martini’ Flare Jeans // Madewell Slim Boyjean // Blank Patchwork Skinny Jean // Fade to Blue Tri-Color Patchwork Jeans // Blank Denim Black Ripped Skinny Jeans // Forever21 Classic Distressed Boyfriend Jeans // Joie Mid Rise Skinny Coated Jeans

I absolutely love the energy and creativity that is New York during fashion week.  I have never experienced anything quite like it.

I have been surrounded by designers that blow my mind and by the most stylist women and men in the world.  It is truly a memorable experience and even though I might have taken this time for granted back in my days producing it for E! News, now I relish in my time in the Big Apple in September.  I loved edging it up in this amazing asymmetrical skirt and crop top for the start of day 2 when I headed to the Peter Som and Zimmerman shows.  Peter Som is one of those designers that loves playing with textures and prints and is very inspirational and I always die for Zimmermann because it is affordable and so Cali chic.  Shop my look below:
