RED CROPPED SWEATSHIRT

I love a bright pop of color lately because the weather has been so gloomy and rainy, but a bold look always brightens my spirits!

I found this cute cropped oversized sweatshirt and fell in love with the red/coral-y color. So bright and pretty and perfect for my trip to wine country last week since it was supposed to rain the whole time. This super casual look is perfect for the weekend while shopping or date night to the movies. It’s comfortable but also pretty and chic.

I hope you guys have had a great week so far. I have been home a lot with my poor sick baby who has a double ear infection. I meant to get this post up on Monday, but it never happened because of my hectic schedule. On one hand I love having my baby home for sick days because it reminds me so much of all the quality time we spent together during the week when he was little, but the reality is I always have a packed schedule and a lot of work to do, so then I get really behind schedule when mom life takes over. Such is life and something I am still learning to juggle. Today I’m feeling stressed and I know it will all be fine and I’ll get everything done, but none the less, I am feeling the pressure with deadlines looming for different projects and catching up on emails. Anyway, I just wanted to be transparent with you guys because all you usually see is the highlight reel and I am very human and often feel stressed and tired, while at the same time trying to remain positive and very grateful for my life. Can you relate? Even if you are not a mom I know we are all torn in different directions these day and are always avail through our phones and consumed with social media, etc. I think all we can each do is our best and for me it’s really helpful to give self-affirmations about what I’m good at and why I’m grateful and lucky for my life. Everything is relative though so I never try to talk down to myself when I’m feeling a certain way. I try to ride the wave and allow myself to feel whatever it is and then see what I can do tomorrow to fix it or make myself feel better, which this week has meant moving my schedule around and knowing I need to book myself out less next week. Breathing in while counting to four and out counting to four also helps me and I know I should probably be meditating.

Moral of the story is, you can’t say yes to everything, but knowing when to say yes is very important and something I will work on. I’m not perfect and I never will be or want to be, but I do not be a walking stress ball or working until midnight every night so slowly but surely I’m going to challenge myself to better my work-life balance!

Thank you guys so much for stopping by today and make sure to come back tomorrow for a new spring makeup post! Shop today’s look below:
