I’m not new to LA, but these days I am exploring new neighborhoods one week at a time.
It’s hard to believe that after over eight years of living in Los Angeles I still am able to wonder into new territory every week, but I promise it is true! LA is huge and as you have probably heard (or know if you live here), our traffic is terrible so for a long time I didn’t want to venture outside of my two mile radius unless I had to. It’s been over a year without an office job, and I am so appreciate to have more flexibility in where I go and the hour in which I travel (yeah, I still don’t go outside of West Hollywood during rush hour!) This past week I headed down to Marina del Rey and of course I have been there before, I don’t live under a rock after all, but I was able to see the neighborhood and walk the canals a bit. It is gorgeous and definitely a great place to live. This look I put together for a day on the west side is very fitting. It is elegant with an edge and that is exactly how I would describe the area. Shop my look below:
Charles Henry Plaid Work Shirt // Eugenia Kim Jill Slouchy Beanie // AG Jean Beau Leatherette Trouser (another less slouchy option HERE) // Ted Baker Azaural Pumps // Celine Nano Luggage Bag (similar HERE) // Old Navy Skinny Belt // Giles and Brother Skinny Spike Pave Cuff // Giles and Brother Hook Cuff // Jennifer Fisher Mini Nail Cuff // Fallon Jewelry Infinity Pave Ring (on SALE almost half off!)
Those shoes are STUNNING! Love how you paired them with plain and boyfriend jeans. Super cute!
Thanks for sharing!

Thanks so much Laura! I am obsessed with the shoes! Hope you are having a great week!
Your shoes are so Carrie Bradshaw – love! And that’s almost comical about LA. I remember one evening while I was going to college in LA (I lived in Mid-Wilshire right by the Grove) it took me nearly an hour to get to the grocery store that was a few lights away. Absolutely crazy…but you can’t help but love the city. 🙂 Xo, Alison
