Happy Monday! How was your weekend? We had a super low-key Father’s Day and weekend and it was so nice. We tried to go play putt-putt yesterday, but apparently that is a very popular choice for Father’s Day and it was so crowded we just played in the arcade instead and will try to go back again during the week sometime soon. I am getting so excited for next weekend though because the husband and I are getting away to Palm Springs. We desperately need some time to decompress and relax and sleep in. I can’t remember the last time I got to really sleep in and just lay around all day. As a working mom and mom to a toddler it has been non-stop for months, especially since my husband has been working around the clock (and so have I on segments and my blog and social posts). Life has seemed very overwhelming for the last two months and I am trying to find a better balance. I know there is no such thing, but the way I am juggling things right now is not sustainable and is burning me out in a major way. I am thinking about taking the month of July off if I don’t start feeling better soon, or at least cut back big time. I am also starting up therapy again this week and know it will help me decide what to do and how to better manage the stress and anxiety. I feel like so many other moms are in my shoes, so if you are feeling this way too, know you are not alone and there are always things to shift to make things better. I seriously can’t wait for a bigger vacation too. Ever since our Europe trip was postponed last fall, I have been longing for a big spread out vacay to disconnect. I know it needs to be rescheduled and I’ll be so happy to really get away for a good amount of time. A priority this week is to start making that trip a reality!
