Election aside, there has been a lot going on with me personally and professionally.  I have been struggling with what my next step is business wise.  I love blogging, but I question if it is sustainable.  And it’s more than hard being your own boss and making a living without the help of an employer.  My insurance alone is ex-pen-sive!!  And I think I am right in saying the cost of living in general has gone up, right?  Do you feel the same?  I guess my situation is also a bit different, because I now have a baby to provide for and to think about his future and school, which is also super expensive in LA.

Anyway, what’s the point in telling you all of this?  It just got me thinking.  And thinking about how I can do better and what’s next and how do I separate myself in what seems to now be a world full of bloggers and influencers.  What’s makes me different or unique?  The one thing I have always gone back to is what makes me happiest.  What do I enjoy doing and love the most?  What scares me?  And that all leads back to work as a journalist, and more specifically, talking on camera.  I know you guys see me posting my videos from KTLA where I am a TV Style Expert, and I LOVE it!  It’s my passion.  I wish I was doing more video stuff, whether TV or digital, where I can not only share my fashion and beauty tips and tricks, but also my opinions.  If this election and motherhood has taught me one thing, it’s that I have a voice and an opinion on everything, and I like to share it with other people.  I like to be able to relate and converse with like-minded women and people across the world.  I love my blogging and social media community because it allows me to do that daily.  And I want to take it a step further and do it on camera.

So what does that mean for you?  Absolutely nothing.  I am still committed to this blog, and if you are a regular, you know I post Monday, Wednesday and Thursday every week and sometimes more (every once and a while, less), and I will continue to do so.  Not because I am hitting the jackpot, but because I love connecting and having a platform where I can share my passions with you.  I just also want to be adding more video content and hopefully working with more brands and bigger media outlets to create said videos.  I just needed to get this out into the universe, because if I know anything, it’s that if you don’t ask, you won’t receive!  So that’s my truth and my realness and I need this platform and you to be able to speak my truth!

Thank you for not only reading my crazy rant, but for following along and for connecting with me here.  I don’t put this much love, energy and time into this blog for myself.  I do it to be able to connect with you.  I do it to hopefully inspire and help someone out “there” that needs a little fashion assistance or just me tracking down a pair of shoes they have been lusting after.

Shop my look below, leave me a comment if you have any feedback for me (I want to know who you are!!) and come back tomorrow for an all new post that I am so excited about!!  xoxo
