It’s weird I guess my entire pregnancy I have been trying to gauge how big I am getting and some days I see photos and think I am not that big, but then others I am shocked lol!  I feel like it’s someone else’s body!  I cannot believe I am about to say it, but I have gained 30 pounds – and on me that is a lot.  Which also explains why I have been having some back pain and now a pinched nerve at the bottom of my rib cage.  There is not a lot of room for this little one to expand on my narrow frame so it’s taking it’s toll.  There are so many crazy things that start happening to your body and while all of them are not so fun, I do feel lucky to get to experience this.  I have always wanted to have a baby and to know what it feels like to be pregnant and now I know!  One thing that is new, and if you are following me on Snapchat (if you are not, you should be: @thestyleeditrix) you know, is my hips are aching now, because I guess they have to expand.  It makes total sense, but I never knew this was a thing until it started happening this week.

Hope all of this wasn’t TMI – I just thought I would share in case any of you are going through the same things or are curious of what could be coming (though as I have learned, EVERYONE has completely different pregnancies and experiences).  Thanks so much for stopping by today.  Make sure you come back tomorrow for a fun new video and shop today’s look below:

  • I would say 30 lbs is about the perfect amount to gain! I am (almost)5’2″ and gained around 40-45. You look great! I was a lot more swollen than you appear to be. Keep up the good work and best of luck for a smooth delivery!

  • Looking beautiful, mama! You are exactly where you are supposed to be. What a rockstar you are and your body is kicking ass growing a tiny human. You are in the home stretch so take it easy and remember to do something nice for yourself today. Growing babies is TOUGH xo

  • I am 5’3″ too and 38 weeks pregnant, and honestly feel like there is no way my stomach could get any larger haha! You look so great, I have gained about 40 lbs so far and am having the same back pain and hip pain you are having, and have to keep reminding myself that it’s all part of it and will be so worth the few weeks of discomfort pretty soon! Hang in there you really do look amazing and have the best maternity style!!

    • Omg Jordan I say that everyday – how is it possible to get bigger! At least you are right there!! Burt yes you are right, it will be all worth it, it’s just not comfortable. Thank you so much for the sweet words and for the comment. Love having this forum to connect with other women!

  • I’m 25 weeks pregnant and feel the same way. I KNOW I shouldn’t compare myself to anyone but I am not one of those women who just looks like I only have a basketball on my tummy. It’s so frustrating, people only talk about the pregnant women who look thin and so cute, no one talks about the majority of women who gain weight normally. then I feel so selfish because I’m growin a baby! Anyway thanks for your post!

    • Totally feel you Maria! We all gain so differently and it’s so hard not to compare ourselves! Thank you so much for the comment. I am so glad we can all relate to each other!
