I have been working on gathering more art and cute little details for my dining room forever.  When we moved in our house a year and a half ago, we kept our same dining room table and chairs from our condo.  We got a pretty new light fixture for the room, but that’s basically all we did, besides paint a soft blue/gray color and get custom drapes for the room. The next step was finding a new rug, since our old one was getting so gross.  I am obsessed with the print and colors in our new really affordable rug from Rugs USA – and the best part is it hides everything, even Smith’s mess!  The next step was the bare walls – they needed some help!  We had a few paintings that we have picked up over the years from our travels, but we needed a big statement piece for the other main wall in the dining room.  A friend told me about LIK Squared, and I was super excited to find this amazing acrylic piece of art from them!  It’s a beautiful shot of a Playa del Carmen Mexico beach, and it really finalized the room!  (If you are in the market for a new piece of art check them out and use the code STYLEEDITRIX25 for 25% OFF!!)

The rest of the room is filled with colorful little details on the table, including this super cute bowl and runner from Anthropologie, and of course we have a bar cart, because who doesn’t need one of those!  I also love filling the dining room with fresh fruit and flowers.  This is a room we spend a lot of time in and we love that it gets such great light and that the palette is serene and cozy.  Since Smith has been born, we have used our dining room more than ever (we used to eat in front of the TV every night!) and we can’t wait for many more family dinners and holidays in this beautiful room now that it’s finished!  Thanks so much for stopping by.  I’ll be back with a new outfit post tomorrow.

Check out my Living Room and Home Office too!
