This last month has been hectic, but here are some things I have learned…
We have been moving and looking for houses and it is not as fun as it would seem! We are so excited to actually get a new place that fits our lifestyle, but the LA market isn’t exactly easy. First, we know we are leaving the neighborhood we have enjoyed for years and then, we are now getting into bidding wars! We have lost two good houses because of it. It’s all so new and crazy! Sometimes I just want to give up, but I know everything happens for a reason and we’ll find the right place when it is meant to be. Patience is key and so is being open minded. There are places I can’t ever imagine living in, but luckily my husband has a vision and is very talented, so we can buy a place that needs a lot of work that we can make our own. It’s going to be a process, but super great when it’s all done. He did it to our condo we just sold and it turned out so pretty. I’ll keep you guys in the loop on our journey. I am sure a lot of you have been through something similar. Hope you are having a good week. Shop my cute office look below:

I have faith that you’ll find the perfect house! And I can’t wait to see what you guys end up doing with it 🙂
Thanks Josh! I need lots of positive vibes! xx
I won’t sugarcoat it for your Ashley, but it is a long process. Alan and I were outbid on a few places before we found our current place. It was about a 12-month process because of LA’s bidding war, but we stayed active and determined to find our home. And I totally understand about looking at not so great homes, but the upside is you can update it to your liking (you’re not paying premium for someone else’s ugly). Our home is a total fixer, but we’ve been updating it slowly and we love it. If you ever need to vent over a drink, call me! xx Annette
So nice to hear I am not alone Annette! It’s very disheartening, but yes, very excited to make something our own and exactly what we like. Drink soon! xo
Good luck on the house hunt! I’m sure you’ll find something beautiful 🙂 very cute outfit, too!
