I am not sure about you guys, but I have never toured a jewelry-making facility or really know anything about what it takes to make fine jewelry and engagement rings.  My job is so cool because I often get invited to events with brands and last week Simon G Jewelry invited me to their headquarters in LA to see their jewelry-making process and treated me to the most beautiful brunch hosted by Marie Claire Magazine, alongside some of my blogger friends.  I was absolutely blown away, not only by the gorgeous tablescape and endless amount of food, but by the many steps and tedious process that it takes to make one piece of jewelry, and the family-owned company does it all in-house!  From the fine checking and measuring of each individual diamond, to making a 3D rendering of the design to be, to a wax mold to make sure the final piece is going to look perfect, to actually heating and melting the metals into your dream ring, earrings or pendant – they take a lot of steps to ensure their customers get the highest quality jewels.  There were at least 25 employees with their hands on every single piece of jewelry that is made and sold to retailers.  It really was such a cool experience to see something go from just an idea or sketch, into an heirloom piece someone will have in their family forever.  Not only do they have beautiful designs, but the cool thing I learned is they do complete customized orders too and all of their diamond are conflict free, which is of huge importance to me.

All of the girls and I felt lucky to be able to see it all firsthand and then to get to enjoy such a lovely brunch.  Can we talk about the decor?  I am obsessed with the gold and white details. It was seriously so stunning and I got a lot of inspiration for my next formal dinner party I throw!  To top everything off, as I was leaving I was gifted the beautiful pendant necklace you see above!  Not fair, I know, but trust me ladies it is in good hands!

I’ll have a post later this week with outfit photos and links to shop my brunch look!  Happy Tuesday!
