NEVER SAY NEVER

While I never thought I would wear overalls after the sixth grade, this trend is back and better than ever and I might be hopping on the proverbial bandwagon.  I am not saying it was an easy choice to step back in time, but it is a fashion-forward one!

I have always known better than to set rules for myself or say never too often because by nature I am a rule breaker and a serial mind-changer.  I think it’s a good trait to have to be flexible and willing to admit it’s fun to try new (or old) things!  I was weary of the overall trend at first because it reminded me of the baggy pair I owned in sixth grade that were not flattering, but when I recently tried this skinny more flattering version on, I was sold!  I also love a lot of the overall pairs on the market now because the straps are modern and cool on the backside – not like the olden-day overalls.  My tip to making overalls chic is by pairing them with heels and nice accessories.  You don’t want to look like you are headed to the farm, so just keep in mind how the “overall” (no pun intended) look will come together.  It’s also fun to make overalls edgy by adding tough jewelry and a leather element, which in my case is the white jacket.  I also wanted a feminine touch which is why I opted for a light pink tee.  Shop the look below!
