One Valentine’s Day you want to look and feel sexy and special, so here are two date night looks – one casual and one dressy!
If you saw my post last week where Shenae Grimes gave me a great Valentine’s Day dessert recipe – Chile Chocolate Covered Strawberries, then you know I owe her big time! I came up with a Valentine’s Day outfit idea for her, which she featured on her blog, Lost In La La! Shenae usually likes to dress a bit more casual than I do, so I came up with a look that she feels comfortable in, but still feel sexy at the same time! Since we went with an all black look – skinny jeans and a black lace top, it was key to add accessories.
In addition to this beautiful statement collar necklace, we really went bold with a crystal ear crawler and then a stunning colorblocked faux fur scarf to dress up here moto jacket. The final touch was these amazing studded boots!
I opted for something a bit dressier – plus I always feel more feminine in a skirt. So a faux leather pencil skirt with a black lace top was perfect for me. I added the metallic clutch and simple black strappy heels to make the look polished and interesting. I topped it off with my staple camel coat since it’s been chilly in LA lately!
What are your plans for V-Day? I hope something fun or that you are celebrating sometime throughout the week. We usually don’t celebrate Valentine’s Day, but instead the day or weekend after I hate prix-fixed menus, and not to mention this year we are traveling back from Colorado tomorrow on V Day, so I doubt we’ll do much.
