I am still on cloud nine after my big announcement yesterday! I cannot contain myself – thank you all for the love and comments!
The first month or two of pregnancy is a whirlwind of emotions! You are so tired, maybe sick, so excited, scared and nervous, starting to make plans, curious and everything else. I also felt like I knew nothing so immediately started asking my mom a million questions and downloaded the Baby Center app and the What to Expect When You’re Expecting Book – though now I am not really a fan of this book (there was a lot on the problems of pregnancy and I didn’t like that at all, plus my doc says every pregnancy is so different – there is no one size fits all.) It’s really cool to read how big the baby is on the app though and to see what is developing each week, plus tips for planning, ideas for food, health, etc. The sonograms have been the coolest part so far. The first time it went so fast and we were so naive we didn’t know what to look for or expect, but the second time was awesome because we got to see the arms moving, and toes developed and everything!
We are going to find out the sex of the baby because let’s face it, I just cannot wait a second longer and we’ll have enough of a surprise when the baby comes anyway being first time parents. I have always pictured myself having a girl, but now I am just thinking about a healthy baby, no matter what god gives me first! (Announcement will come soon!) I cannot wait to nurture and love and teach this little bundle of joy. It’s all going to be so much fun. And I know it won’t be easy, especially with sleepless nights, but I am ready for it. I guess ask me a month after no sleep lol! Thank god my mom will be moving here to help me lol (hopefully soon rather than later – please!!). Thanks so much for checking in today! I have lots more to chat about soon! Make sure you shop my look below! And follow me on Snapchat for more fun preggo stories: thestyleeditrix! Plus, I am doing a KTLA segment today and that will be posted later, but tune in at 9:45am if you want to catch it!

What? You’re Mother is leaving Kentucky? Please say it’s just until after you get adjusted as a new Mom.
That’s my ultimate goal Harriett!! Haha but for now at least I’ll have her a couple weeks when the baby is born and try and convince her she needs to stay!!
It will be hard for her to leave once she has that baby in her hands.
Haha that’s my plan!
I am a mother of 2 and went by the book, On Becoming Babywise, when my children were infants. Follow their suggestions on how to get the babies on a routine and worked like a charm. It is a lot of work the first couple of months but the payoff is well worth it. I knew several moms that used that same method and had great success as well. Highly recommended.
Thanks so much Brenda! I have heard of the book and plan to read it! I am all about a sleep schedule! Glad to know it helped you!
Love this whole outfit! So darling! Xo

Thank you Lauren!! xo
Congrats on the new baby! I am sure your Mom is thrilled. She and I were friends many moons ago and she suggested your blog, which I love. Question — Where can I find that fabby Serapian bag. I have searched the internet with no luck. I found the Serapian website but it appears they do not sell to shoppers in the U.S. Any suggestions?
HI Maureen! Thank you! And love that my mom directed you to my blog! Isn’t that bag amazing?! You can order it over the phone (or of course get person) at their Beverly Hills store. The number is (310) 247-8881. Hope that helps! Mine is the small pink Meline.
