This is my standard. Black and white. Yes please. Back to elevated basics, even at Chateau Marmont. Keep reading to see more and shop the look.
Every time you feel like you don’t have anything to wear, search for your favorite black pieces and put them together. Black separates never get old and always looks slimming and chic. Make sure you invest in your black tank, jeans, blazer – you name it – because you will need to wear it over and over again. One tip is to always look for a little detail that raises the bar on each piece. In this look I love the studs down the side of the jeans to make them look like tuxedo pants, and I love the raw hem and long length of the black tank – super chic. I wore this look to my friend Sarah Boyd’s launch of her first capsule collection for the jewelry company Capwell & Co at Chateau Marmont. It was a dinner full of other fashionistas so I knew I need to look understated chic and this contrast white blazer topped off the look. Check out Sarah’s collection here and shop because all proceeds are donated to the anti-bullying non-profit organization, The Farley Project.
